Easy Mexican Recipe: Sizzling Chicken Fajitas

This dish takes less than 30 minutes to prepare and requires only one pot. It is a traditional Mexican dish that is as much pleasure to prepare as it is to eat, featuring properly marinated and seasoned slices of chicken, green and red bell peppers, and onions. Ingredients

For the Fajitas:

2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 red onion, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon lime juice

4 small flour tortillas (or use homemade ones from the previous recipe)

For Serving:

Sour cream

Salsa

Fresh cilantro, chopped

Lime wedges

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine sliced chicken, olive oil, cumin, paprika, chili powder, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and marinate for at least 10 minutes (or up to 2 hours if you have time).

Step 2: Grill the Chicken and Veggies

Step 3: Assemble the Fajitas

Warm the tortillas on the comal for about 30 seconds on each side.

Place the cooked chicken and veggies on each tortilla.

Top with sour cream, salsa, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice. Then enjoy your sizzling fajitas straight from the comal!
